Lion cubs can indeed be just as unruly as human children. It's amazing how the older ones teach the younger ones.

Anyone who has children has certainly experienced the noisy failure of an afternoon nap or a long (planned) weekend sleep due to a lively child. The male lion in the video below experienced a similar frustration to that of disturbed adults, as one of his offspring disrupted his peaceful slumber.

In the footage, you can see part of the Rekero pride peacefully napping in Kenya's Maasai Mara National Reserve. The father is trying to enjoy his well-deserved rest, which for a lion averages about 20 hours a day. Meanwhile, he is using his tufted tail to fan himself and keep the flies away. However, his youngest cub can't resist this royal accessory and starts playing with it. The footage also shows three other female lions, who still have spots. They lose these spots when they reach adulthood, around 4-5 years old. It's fantastic to see how the older lions teach the younger ones, helping them understand boundaries. Toward the end of the video, we also see a bit of curiosity from them. They are interested in seeing how far the cub can go with the old lion. It's just like the dynamics of a human family, isn't it?
