Captivity and poor conditions are very hard on the animals

Peru is one of the countries that prohibits the use of wild animals in circuses, but there are always some rule-breaking companies that ignore the rules and the feelings of the animals. It's hard to imagine what Mufasa must have been through, living for 20 years locked up in chains. According to news reports. he was the last animal to be released from the circus world.

Mufasa was freed thanks to Animal Defenders International, whose members tracked down all the animals who had been similarly exploited. The puma was the last of their rescues. Rehabilitate

From the circus, Mufasa was taken to a shelter near Lima, where he began his rehabilitation and received veterinary care. Thanks to this, his appetite and coat condition have started to improve. After three days, the cougar was on the road again to her final home, in the Amazon jungle in the Amazon rainforest.
