This is what happens when a roadrunner and a cat meet

It's no exaggeration to say that the average Hungarian knows the road runner only thanks to the famous cartoon. The very existence of this bird is astonishing. But what happens when it meets a cat? Watch the video!

One of the most emblematic characters of the popular 90s show, the Looney Tunes, was the road runner, the legendary bird of the American prairies. Although the coyote in the story never managed to catch the bird, which was running at incredible speed, a few days ago, a cat owner filmed their own cat trying to do the same thing. See what happens:

Is the cat or the bird faster?

Of course, the kitten didn't stand a chance either, even though the real ground cockatoos, who inspired the road runner, are not as fast birds as we think. With their running speed of around 30 km/h, a cat could even compete. The maximum speed of our furry pets can be close to 50 km/h in extreme situations, so the bird shown in the video was lucky that it did not end up in the claws of the predator.

Outdoor cats live a vastly different lifestyle compared to indoor ones, and they might even cause legal problems. Click here to find out why it is not always a good idea to let cats freeroam.
